You take the photos at every birthday and holiday, and when someone goes looking for a good picture of you, there isn't one. A glamour portrait session puts you in front of the lens for once, with the hair, makeup and styling handled for you.
Picture your family gathered for your 80th birthday. Someone wants to put a photo of you on the cake table, and everyone starts scrolling through their phones. They find you at the edge of a group shot, half turned away. They find the back of your head at the barbecue. They find your thumb over the lens.
You took all the other pictures. Nobody took one of you.
What it costs to stay behind the lens
It feels generous to be the one who records everyone else. But the years add up. Your grandchildren will know what the cottage looked like and who came to every holiday, and they will have very little of the person who made those days happen.
A milestone is the moment people notice the gap. By then, the easy fix of a quick snapshot doesn't feel like enough. You deserve one portrait that shows you at your best, on purpose, not by accident.
How we put you in the picture
Our glamour portrait sessions are built so that, for one day, you do nothing but show up and be photographed.
It starts with a discovery call, then a consultation where we plan the session together: the look, the mood, what you will wear. Bring your own favourite outfits, casual or formal, or choose gowns and outfits from our studio wardrobe. Prop and gown rental is available too.
On your photo day, plan to spend up to four hours with us. Professional hair styling and makeup are included, and your outfit is styled before we start photographing. You get to be the one who is fussed over, for a change.
Within a week, you come back to see your images and choose your favourites. We don't show unretouched photos, so everything you see has already had our high-end editing. Your products are delivered two to four weeks after your selection, depending on the product, and every image you purchase comes with its matching digital file in colour and in black and white.
What changes when there is finally a portrait of you
The next time someone wants a photo of you, for a birthday table, a hallway wall or a frame by a grandchild's bed, there is one ready. It looks like you on a good day, because that is exactly what it is.
