Headshots and personal brand photography
When your AI headshot looks like someone else
An AI headshot app promises a professional photo in minutes, but what comes back is often a smoother, sharper stranger wearing your name. Here is why that gap costs you, and how we make a headshot that is actually you.
Picture it: you need a new headshot for your website and LinkedIn, so you upload a dozen selfies to an AI app. A few minutes later you have forty versions of yourself. Crisp blazer. Perfect lighting. A jawline you do not quite recognize.
You pick the least strange one and post it. Then, on your next video call, a new client says, "Oh, you look different from your picture." It is said kindly. It still stings.
What the gap costs you
Your headshot is often the first handshake. When someone meets you and the face does not match, they wonder what else might not match. That small moment of doubt lands right when you are trying to earn trust.
It also costs you something quieter. Every time you look at that image, you know it is not really you. So you hesitate to share it, you skip the speaking bio, you leave the profile half-finished. The photo meant to give you confidence ends up taking some away.
How we make a headshot that is really you
Our headshots are authentic photos of you, not AI images. Here is how a session works.
First, we talk. Every headshot session starts with a consultation by phone, video call or in person. We ask about your brand, your personality and how you want to be seen, whether you are a podiatrist, an accountant or a pair of business partners.
Next, we plan the look together. We help with styling and talk through your brand colours, what to bring and what to wear, so the photo fits the work you do and the clients you want.
On the day, hair and makeup are done for you, and we guide you through the poses. You do not have to work out what to do with your hands or your chin. You just show up as yourself, on a good day.
Finally, you choose. The session produces a series of images, and you select your favourites at a reveal. You pick the ones that feel like you, not the ones an algorithm decided you should look like.
What changes when the photo is real
When someone meets you after seeing your headshot, they recognize you right away. No double take, no polite comment. Just the same person they expected, already familiar.
And you stop hiding the photo. You put it on your site, your profiles and your proposals, because it is you, looking the way you want to be seen. If you are ready to trade the stranger for the real thing, start with a conversation.
